Shredded Crispy Hash Browns -American Style Breakfast Recipe

Shredded Crispy Hash Browns -American Style Breakfast Recipe

This is a classic American breakfast which I am sure you all will enjoy and relish. I had hashbrowns for the very first time in Mc Donalds and I totally loved’em. The crunchy and crispy potatoes totally stole my heart. Then recently, my husband decided to try out hashbrowns at home which came out really good. The variety we made at home was shredded hash browns with sunny side up. Wow! they were very filling, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Tips to make crispy hash browns:

  1. First of all, select the right potatoes. I chose the good old russet potatoes which brings in the needed crunchiness.
  2.  Release the moisture as much as possible. There should be no water content left in the potatoes. The water content makes it difficult for the browning to happen.
  3. Best way to remove the water is to wrap the potatoes in kitchen towel and squeeze them.
  4. Make nice long slices or shred the potatoes and this also helps in making it brown.

So looks like you are ready to make the hash browns. Make this your easy morning breakfast or brunch recipe.

Happy Cooking!
